Nauman Dar Appointed as New CEO and President of Habib Bank

According to an official notice sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the board of directors of Habib Bank has appointed Mr Nauman K. Dar as the new CEO and President of Bank, who will be taking over the retiring president Mr Zakir Mehmood, in September 2012. 
Highly reliable source confided and tipped this news to EconomyAge two months ago and many industry experts were skeptic at that time.
The retiring president Mr Zakir Mehmood served Habib Bank for 12 years and were recognized by the board of directors as an invaluable asset. The Chairman, Mr Sultan Ali Sullana, applauded Mr Mehmood’s leadership and exemplary dedication in the evolution and re-positioning of the bank since 2000, which has resulted in HBL becoming the leading bank in Pakistan.
‘The new CEO of Habib Bank, Naumna K. Dar, has been a career banker and brings with him a wealth of 30 years of banking experience’, read the press release issued by Habib Bank.
Before becoming CEO and President, Mr Dar was head of Habib Bank’s Corporate and Investment Bank. Although, Dar’s appointed is subject to regulatory approval.

Dear Sir, I am holder of account No.0814 00419 56203 with your esteemed bank HBL, SDV Branch, The Mall, Rawalpindi in the name of my company and with two other accounts in my name and in the name of my son. I can inform to your good self that I am an old customer of this branch since 1970 when my salary was coming to my account and I was an employee of ICI, Paintex Ltd., when my office was with Hayat Furnishers. Then my account was shifted to HBL, with W.Wilson Branch, just near to this branch of yours. Then my account was again shifted to this branch, because they said that my company is small and they will be retaining the account of big companies, I think, in 2001. In my son’s account, my son has been sending amounts from abroad. I admit that for some time my account is not so active because I am a heart patient and have been ill. Now I again want to be active and will be patronizing HBL like before.
Mr. Naeem of your branch is insulting me and threatening me to close my account and thinking him as a President of HBL while he is also an employee. He is misbehaving with customer like me for nothing. Get swear from him that he has not misbehaved with me and threatened me to close my account for nothing while he is not sole authority of HBL. While he will now make excuses. Who has given him authority to do so? Why he is closing my account. I swear that I have nothing to do with Mr. Naeem and I have never any business with him except he is in HBL therefore he should not misbehave me like that. He should be polite with his customer and explain to them in good manner kindly present my request before management. Kindly get an explanation from him and get an apology letter from him. I told him that if he thinks he is something they I will complain to this Head Officer and in the Ministry of Finance. However, a customer may be so small, should be dear to your bank and your employees should not misbehave and insult like that with customer because after all, banks are public dealing offices and some time a small account can be dear to banks. My point that if he is not taken to task, then his habit will grow and in this way HBL will be loosing customers and some people are illiterate and nothing can explain and go silently to their home.
If he is adamant to close my account, then all three account should be closed and give my money which is in the accounts presently. I will can my account with any other suitable bank.
