While congratulating the bank on promoting green-energy culture.

I feel the construction of KIOSK’s design looks gross???….failing to meet international standard.

I strongly urge the authority concern to see/view/visit the SOLAR Kiosk/Room design made in European Countries or atleast nearest UAE.

    Check it out!

It is nice to know recent advances in solar power generation/storage costs promise it to be less prohibitive. Wonder, if the earlier power back up arrangement remains in place? (I guess it does)

  3. Umair says:

We congrats NBP for this great initiative.

At least we are promoting alternate ways for power consumption which are not only environment friendly but also technologically robust, adding a flag towards advancement of products generating from Natural sources.

    Keep it up!!!

  4. Thats a very good and encouraging initiative specially in today’s situation of energy crises

This is a great step towards green initiatives in Pakistan.

Most banks can’t go beyond pathetic implementation of paperless culture. I think organizations, especially banks have responsibility to implement measures that reduces their overall carbon footprint through similar environmental sustainability measures.

Hats Off to NBP.. Guess it’s not just another government office anymore.

  8. Sajid Ali says:

This is great step but I think NBP should first streamline their ATM services, most of the ATMs are not working, out of order etc

  9. Feisal Rahimtoola says:

Mainly because of very high construction and installation expense (depreciation, interest or opportunity cost of capital)you can produce more than five units (KwH) of electricity through hydro source in the same budget for one unit through solar! Solar is very, very expensive. India has been ahead of us in this endeavor for rural areas mainly for access and reach objectives. The only justification for NBP putting it up at DHA, besides visibility could be that they want to experience the learning curve. In short, people appreciating the effort may lack true appreciation.
